We represent some of the largest developers of hotels, resorts and second home communities in the California and Nevada deserts.  This includes the structuring of both Equity and Non-Equity Gold Course Clubs.

Representative Experience

  • Represented Weintraub Financial Services in its July 2007 acquisition of The Sportsmen’s Lodge properties in Studio City, California.
  • Advised The Foothills Group in the development of the Dragon Ridge Golf Club and development of surrounding custom home lots in Henderson, Nevada.
  • Advised a client in the disposition of a Hilton-branded hotel in a $50 million sale transaction. Also represented a client in the refinancing of a Marriott-branded hotel in a $55 million financing transaction.
  • Counseled The Sunrise Company in its acquisition and development of Sunrise Country Club, Rancho Las Palmas Country Club, Monterey County Club, The Lakes Country Club, Palm Valley County Club, Indian Ridge Country Club, Toscana Country Club and PGA West residential. Counsel included obtaining entitlements from the City of Indian Wells as to Toscana, acquisition and construction financing, DRE filings, sales documents and CC&Rs.
  • Represented The Sunrise Company in conversion of Indian Ridge Country Club to an Equity Country Club.
  • Represented The Sunrise Company in its conversion of The Oaks Country Club, Houston into Equity Country Club.
  • Counseled an affiliate of Transpacific Development Company in the sale of Cerritos Sheraton Hotel, Cerritos, California.
