Construction Contracts

We represent developers of commercial and residential projects in the negotiation of fixed-fee and cost-plus construction contracts.  We also assist owners of high-end residential properties in identifying architects, contractors, owner’s representatives and other consultants for development of homes of between 10,000 and 40,000-square feet.

Representative Experience

  • Represented Transpacific Development Company in the negotiation of a contract with Turner Construction for construction of a Class A office building in downtown Los Angeles.
  • Advised The Pritzker family in the negotiation of a construction contract for the remodeling of a major regional shopping mall in Buena Park, California.
  • Represented Goldrich & Kest Industries in the negotiation with Crescent Heights Partners of a Turnkey Building Contract for a high-rise condominium in Marina del Rey, California.
  • Advised Trinidad Village Docks Incorporated in the negotiation with Bellingham Marina Industries, Inc. of a Design-Build Contract for its rehabilitation project in Coronado, California.
  • Negotiated a construction contract for Gluck Development Company for the remodel of the Federal Reserve Building, in downtown Los Angeles, into apartments. We handled asubsequent lawsuit against the owner which was satisfactorily resolved.
